Aspire People are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Female PE Teacher to join an excellent Multi Academy Trust on maternity cover basis from October half-term until the end of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate PE teacher to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and supportive environment, working within a Multi-Academy Trust based in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting health, fitness, and well-being.
* Plan and deliver a broad and balanced PE curriculum that engages all students, regardless of ability, and promotes participation in sports.
* Organise and oversee extra-curricular sports clubs, inter-school competitions, and events that enhance the student experience.
* Maintain excellent classroom management and ensure lessons are delivered in a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with other members of the PE department and wider school staff to contribute to the overall success of the PE programme.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physical Education
* Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Physical Education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* A commitment to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle and encouraging participation in sport.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead and manage sports events and teams.
* A passion for fostering a love of physical activity and promoting inclusive PE lessons that engage all students.
All candidates who register with Aspire People will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed and must be on the update service.
