Look no further – GSL Education is seeking to appoint Teacher of Math to join a client Secondary School in South Manchester. This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire and educate KS3/KS4 students, helping them achieve success in mathematics and beyond.

 

 

Job summary: 

  • As a Teacher of Maths for KS3/KS4 students, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality education to our students, day-to-day teaching and learning provision for students in their class. You will receive training and mentoring from experienced leaders in the school to ensure that you are supported in all aspects of what you do.

 

 As a Teacher of Math, Your Role will be expected to:

  • Plan and deliver challenging Math lessons that cater to the diverse needs of KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring both academic progress and personal development.
  • Encourage active student participation, foster critical thinking, and promote problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, homework, class tests and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Offer additional support to students who may be struggling with mathematical concepts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources that enhance the learning experience.

 

Qualifications of Teacher of Math:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students in the learning process.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of effective teaching and delivering positive student outcomes.
  • Be a passionate educator of young pupils with the ability to differentiate tasks for differing levels.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
