Now Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a large SEMH provision in Trafford who provide education for students aged 11-18 years old.

The school are looking for a well qualified and experienced teacher/tutor of Maths to start asap and continue until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in mathematics, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
  • Delivering lessons to small classes of learners.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that promote understanding and retention of mathematical concepts.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment, encouraging students to ask questions and express difficulties.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize special education techniques when necessary to assist students with diverse learning requirements.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in tutoring and teaching mathematics to students in KS3 and 4.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts.
  • Experience working with children, including those with Special Educational Needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Complex and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles.
  • A passion for fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging student development.

The role will start asap and continue until the end of the academic year working Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.00pm.
