Aspire People are currently seeking a dedicated and creative Performing Arts Teacher for a long-term position at a secondary school in Manchester, starting in January 2025. About the Role
As a Performing Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging lessons across a range of performance disciplines. You'll encourage students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop their talents in the performing arts. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and inspiring lessons in Performing Arts across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Develop students' skills in drama, music, dance, and other performance-related areas.
* Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages students to express themselves and explore their artistic potential.
* Manage rehearsals, school productions, and extracurricular activities related to performing arts.
* Provide feedback and assess student progress to help them achieve their best.
* Work collaboratively with other staff members and the Performing Arts department to enhance the school's arts program.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with specialisation or experience in Performing Arts.
* Proven experience teaching drama, music, dance, or related fields at the secondary level.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* A passion for the performing arts and for inspiring students to reach their full potential.
All candidates who register with Aspire People will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed and must be on the update service.
