Job Title: Religious Education Teacher

Location: M29 7ES

Pay Rate: £200 per day

An experienced Religious Education Teacher is required for a long-term role at a secondary school in Manchester. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting understanding and respect for diverse faiths and ethical viewpoints.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality RE lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Inspire curiosity and critical thinking about religious, moral, and philosophical issues
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential and preparing for GCSE examinations
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and interventions where necessary
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or pastoral support

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stages 3 and 4 in a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to fostering mutual respect and understanding among students
