Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an outstanding teacher of Religious Education to join an Ofsted Outstanding Catholic college in central Manchester.

The role also includes Chaplaincy support.

The Role

Teacher of Core Religious Education

Five days a week 9am to 4pm

The teacher will develop students' spiritual and moral development within the context of respecting the faith traditions of all members of the college community.

Teaching the study of religion, philosophy of religion and religion and ethics.

Using the teaching of Philosophy and Ethics to ensure students acquire the ability to think logically, to analyse and develop their critical thinking skills

Core RE has centrally planned resources and is not an examined subject. Therefore, there are no formal assessments and no significant marking commitments.

This is a protected post and therefore the candidate must be a practising Catholic.

The college are interested in hearing from early career teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching Religious Education to students aged 14 to 18.

Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or PGCEFE

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks

Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
