Tutor - PRU

Graduate tutor We are working with a SEMH secondary school in Chorlton, who require Maths and English tutors to work with pupils from challenging backgrounds. The role will start ASAP and will continue for the rest of the academic year.

You will be responsible for supporting pupils 1:1 and with small groups delivering intervention sessions in maths where you will provide intensive support to small groups of learners. You will formulate a superb understanding of the curriculum at KS3 & 4 Maths., which will bode well for their future studies. You will be supported by outstanding teachers and a strong, highly recognised leadership team. Position Tutor Type of work Tuition Start date ASAPLikely Duration until July 2025 Contract type Temporary Minimum rate of pay 110 GBP / day plus more for qualified teachers Hours School Hours 8.30-3.30pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Psychology, or a relevant degree such as Maths, English, Health and Social Care and/or Sociology Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) desirable but not essential Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, we can provide the training) up to date behaviour management training (desirable, we can provide training) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS that is registered on the update service or be willing to process a new application Provide professional references to cover the last 2 years If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
