We are partnering with an established, well-regarded, multi-service law firm based in Greater Manchester in the recruitment of an Operations Manager.


This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving firm and play a significant part in shaping its future efficiency and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in streamlining processes, implementing best practices, and contributing to the overall strategic goals of the firm, working alongside a talented team of legal professionals.


The Legal Operations Manager will be responsible for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Firm, working alongside the firms Partners and Business Managers. You will collaborate closely with attorneys and other stakeholders to streamline workflows, improve technology integration, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. You will oversee budgeting processes, vendor management, and the adoption of relevant legal technologies to enhance overall productivity. A strong analytical mindset coupled with excellent organisational skills is essential to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that drive operational excellence. This position is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in the transformation of the firm's legal operations through innovative practices and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal frameworks and a passion for fostering an environment that promotes growth and efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise legal operations and processes
  • Manage budgets and financial performance in coordination with the Finance team
  • Oversee vendor relationships and contract management activities
  • Coordinate and streamline workflows
  • Conduct data analysis to assess performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Support the adoption and integration of legal technology solutions
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to legal processes and policies including SRA Regulations & Lexcel procedures
  • Facilitate professional development and training for legal staff regarding operations best practices
  • Support Projects throughout the Firm including IT, HR, Finance, Business Development, Marketing & Compliance


Requirements:

  • Proven experience within the Legal Sector as an Operations Manager, Practice Manager or related role
  • Commercially aware with business acumen
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, processes, and compliance standards
  • Proficient in project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
