An exciting new opportunity for a Graduate or Assistant Designer to join a global design-led apparel manufacturer has arisen. They are seeking an Assistant Designer across Homeware to join the team, supporting the new division in creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs that align with their retailers' brand values, growing their portfolio of products.

This role is based in the Manchester Head Office 3 days a week initially, with the potential to turn into something full time in the near future.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the design and development of new homeware products including kitchenware, tableware, decorative accessories etc.
- Conduct market research to identify current and emerging design trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products.
- Create detailed sketches and technical drawings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales.
- Assist in selecting appropriate materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes for new products.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility and quality of designs.
Person specification:
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field ideally with a focus on homeware design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Strong creative and artistic abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent sketching and drawing, to create presentation ready designs.
- Passion for design and innovation.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of homeware design.
