Job Title: Sample Room Sewing Machinist
Location: Unit 1 & 2, Ravenscraig Road, Little Hulton, M38 9PU
Salary: Competitive
Job type: Full Time - Permanent. 25-30 hours per week, minimum 3 days.

Job Overview:
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Sample Room Sewing Machinist who will be required to use your skills and experience of sewing to produce bedding, curtains and soft furnishing accessories for use within our customer showrooms and for photography shoots.
Key Responsibilities:
Sample Production;
- Operate and maintain a variety of industrial sewing machines (e.g., Flat bed and overlock.
- Ensure samples meet design, fit, and quality expectations for use within our customer showrooms and for photography shoots
- To cut and re-stitch existing products where alterations are requested.
Technical Skills;
- Perform intricate sewing tasks such as seam finishes, topstitching, and decorative details.
- Work with various fabrics, including delicate, stretch, and heavyweight materials.
- Identify and address potential construction issues to improve production efficiency.
Collaboration;
- Work closely with designers and product developers to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide feedback on design feasibility and suggest improvements where necessary.
Maintenance;
- Maintain sewing equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Keep the sample room clean, organised, and safe.
Quality Control;
- Inspect completed samples for accuracy, durability, and adherence to specifications.
- Document and report any inconsistencies or issues.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a sewing machinist, using industrial flat bed and overlock sewing machines.
- Keen eye for details.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience working in the soft furnishing or garment manufacturing industry
