We are working with our client who are an established airside support business in their search for a stores person or parts technician based in Manchester. It will be your responsibility to receive, store raw materials, parts, equipment and issue it out accordingly maintain traceability.

Responsibilities;

  • Provide prompt and courteous counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items
  • Respond to telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Issue materials to the GSE Technicians, ensuring that all paperwork is signed off correctly
  • Purchase from local suppliers as and when required
  • Pick and pack stock orders ready for delivery to outstations
  • Ensure parts are correctly scanned onto ELC (in-house software used to manage the day-to-day business)
  • Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop floor/work areas as required
  • Updating Supervisor regularly with the pending parts status         
  • Check and Receipt of deliveries to site
  • Notify suppliers immediately of any damaged goods or short shipments
  • New stock items to be located and labelled as required
  • Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against ELC inventory
  • Ensure stock items have appropriate bar codes attached always
  • Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
  • Ensure all items are appropriately stored for their size and weight

The person

  • Previous experience in a store’s environment
  • Knowledge of PPE and some mechanical parts or materials advantageous
  • Able to use computers and input data
  • FLT license advantageous
  • Driving licence required

This is a dayshift Monday – Friday position. Travel may be required to other sites which will be paid for so candidate must have some flexibility.
