We are working with our client who are an established airside support business in their search for a stores person or parts technician based in Manchester. It will be your responsibility to receive, store raw materials, parts, equipment and issue it out accordingly maintain traceability.
Responsibilities;
- Provide prompt and courteous counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items
- Respond to telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
- Issue materials to the GSE Technicians, ensuring that all paperwork is signed off correctly
- Purchase from local suppliers as and when required
- Pick and pack stock orders ready for delivery to outstations
- Ensure parts are correctly scanned onto ELC (in-house software used to manage the day-to-day business)
- Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop floor/work areas as required
- Updating Supervisor regularly with the pending parts status        Â
- Check and Receipt of deliveries to site
- Notify suppliers immediately of any damaged goods or short shipments
- New stock items to be located and labelled as required
- Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against ELC inventory
- Ensure stock items have appropriate bar codes attached always
- Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
- Ensure all items are appropriately stored for their size and weight
The person
- Previous experience in a store’s environment
- Knowledge of PPE and some mechanical parts or materials advantageous
- Able to use computers and input data
- FLT license advantageous
- Driving licence required

This is a dayshift Monday – Friday position. Travel may be required to other sites which will be paid for so candidate must have some flexibility.Â
