Milk Education is excited to partner with a fantastic Special School in North Manchester , dedicated to supporting pupils aged 4 to 11 with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Physical Disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Support Worker to join their team, starting in November 2024. This is a term-time only position, with working hours from 08:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday.

Your Role: As a Child Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for our students. You will support the Class Teacher in delivering engaging lessons, manage classroom behavior, and, when necessary, assist with feeding and personal care based on the individual needs of the pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to school policies and procedures
  • Provide assistance with feeding and personal care
  • Support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons and keeping students engaged

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recent and relevant experience working with children or adults with learning disabilities, in either educational or care settings
  • Comfort and capability in providing personal care
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above
