Venn Group have been approached by a Charity and would like to introduce the following positions available

Position:           Evening Support Worker

Location:          Rochdale

Salary:             £10,347 plus £55 per sleep (part time equivalent)

Length:            Permanent

Hours:             16.33 hours per week (2 shifts p/week 5pm – 9am)

Location:          Chester

Rate:               £18,293 (including sleep payment)

Length:            Permanent

Hours:             20.5 hours per week (2 shifts p/week 3.30pm – 9am)

The overall aim of the role is:

  • To be accountable and responsible for the effective trauma informed, person centred support and empowerment of clients within core and dispersed safe accommodation, and resettlement

  • Delivering front line services during evening hours to the highest quality, using reflection to improve practice and outcomes

  • Ensuring that the delivery of the service to clients, funders and stake holders is underpinned by a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and equality of opportunity

  • Ensuring the service is delivered to a high standard following organisation policy and procedure paying particular attention to: H&S, Child and Adult Safeguarding, professional boundaries and confidentiality practice

The requirements for the role are:

  • An extensive understanding of individuals and families, who have or are experiencing domestic abuse

  • Knowledge of providing support on agreed outcomes of assessment support plans

  • Knowledge of assessing and implementing risk assessments, including DASH Ric

  • Knowledge and ability to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns in relation to children and vulnerable adults

The organisation would also be required to apply for a Enhanced DBS for you prior to starting the position
