Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Family Contact Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting families and ensuring the well-being of children during supervised contact sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Childcare, or a related field - Essential.
  • Previous experience working with children and families in a similar role - Essential.
  • Strong observational and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and supervise contact sessions between children and their families in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Ensure that contact sessions are conducted in accordance with court orders and safeguarding policies.
  • Observe and record interactions during contact sessions, providing detailed and accurate reports.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, family members, and other professionals to support the needs of the children and families.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children and families during contact sessions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
