Are you passionate about supporting people to maintain their housing and build a brighter future? We are looking for experienced Floating Support Workers to join a variety of different organisations across Greater Manchester who are dedicated to helping individuals sustain their tenancies and improve their well-being.
The role
As a Floating Support Worker, you will provide vital support to clients across Greater Manchester. Working flexibly across different locations, you will help individuals facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, and tenancy sustainment. You will work closely with clients to empower them, develop essential life skills, and ensure they have access to the right services to thrive.
Key responsibilities include;
- Supporting individuals to manage their tenancies and prevent homelessness
- Assisting with housing applications, benefits, and financial stability
- Providing guidance on budgeting, life skills, and tenancy rights
- Signposting clients to specialist services including drug and alcohol services, mental health services and other complex needs
- Working with external agencies to coordinate holistic support
- Advocating for clients and ensuring they receive the help they need and the best possible outcomes
The candidate
- Experience in homelessness, supported housing, social work, or related fields
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- The ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work
- A compassionate, proactive, and solution-focused approach
