Position: Learning Support Assistant

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
* Assist in the delivery of tailored interventions in core subjects: Maths, English, and Science.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment and implement strategies that support student engagement.
Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
* Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
* Dyslexia and other learning difficulties
Requirements:
* Strong academic background in core subjects (Maths, English, Science) - minimum of A-levels or equivalent.
* Previous experience working with SEND students in a school setting, ideally at the secondary level.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
* Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting students with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and dyslexia.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to a dynamic school environment.
All candidates who register with Aspire People will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed and must be on the update service.
