Now Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a SEND Primary school in Failsworth who require a SEND LSA to work on a long term and full time basis.

The school is predominantly for pupils who have SEMH.

The role is to start on the 2nd December, working Monday - Friday 8.30am-4.00pm until the end of the academic year.

There is potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of staff who work hard to support the pupils who attend the school who have most recently been rated as good by Ofsted.

Teachers and teaching assistants work hard to ensure that this holistic and nurturing provision succeed in re engaging the most vulnerable and misunderstood learners across Oldham, Manchester and Tameside.

Many of the children and young people who attend this provision have had a tricky start to their education and this may be their second or third attempt at attending school.

All children who attend this setting have an Education Health Care Plan for their additional needs such as SEMH, Speech Language and Communication and Complex and Challenging Behaviour.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has recently worked with children and young people who have additional needs, ideally within a school setting.

Knowledge and understanding of Key Stage 1 and 2 Primary Curriculum topics and expectations would be useful.

Experience of working with children who have a range of Special Education Needs is essential.

The successful candidate also needs to have at least Level 2 Team Teach training to be considered for this role.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about helping children achieve their full potential to become valued and participating members of the community.

You will be skilled at quickly developing positive and proactive relationships within the classroom and around the school, have a real sense of resilience and the ability to work on your own initiative.
