Manchester Staff is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Mentors to join our rapidly growing team in Manchester. As a Mentor, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of our students, helping them overcome challenges and unlock their full potential.

The Mentor/Youth Worker/Learning Support Assistant role:
路 Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to students in a community setting
路 Assist with academic subjects, such as English and maths, to help students progress
路 Develop students' social, vocational, and life skills through engaging activities
路 Collaborate with the wider team to ensure a holistic approach to student
development
路 Maintain detailed records and documentation related to student progress
路 Participate in half-termly training and CPD.
Skills and Abilities:
路 An empathetic and patient approach
路 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
路 Passion for creating opportunities and supporting young people
路 Ability to write reports in a timely manner demonstrating strong literacy skills.
The ideal Mentor/Youth Worker/Learning Support Assistant:
Essentials:
路 Experience in mentoring and / or learning support
路 Strong communication and interpersonal skills
路 Excellent English and maths abilities
路 Proficient in using technology and digital tools
路 Knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
路 A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel to students' locations (with
business insurance)
Desirables:
路 1+ years' experience working with young people in an educational, social, or sports
coaching setting
路 Grade 4 / C or above in English and maths
路 Experience in youth work, teaching assistant roles, childcare, residential care, sports coaching.
