Mental Health Support Worker Hulme Do you have experience working with children/young people with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) difficulties? Prospero Teaching are looking for committed individuals for a specialist SEMH School based in Hulme. The role is to start in September 2024 You will be supporting young people with additional needs, as well as displaying some challenging behaviour. You will be required to give academic support to the students, and helping them show more pro social behaviours in the classroom. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Hulme Position Behaviour Support Worker Start Date Sept 2024 End Date July 2025 Duration / Likely Duration Academic Year Full time/Part-time Full Time Contract Type: Long term Hours 08:30 3:30 The Minimum Rate of Pay GBP100 per day. EXPERIENCE Relevant experience in a school or similar setting. Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Experience of effectively and positively managing a class and leading learning with groups of pupils, using appropriate strategies to enable them to settle to learn. TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS GCSE English/Maths at grade A to C or equivalent. Specific training in interventions/SEN/SEMH. Commitment to all CPD offered. Team Teach training would be beneficial to this role, however this can be provided for free.
