We are seeking a dedicated Project Worker to join our team, focusing on providing comprehensive support to students to ensure equal access to high-quality education. This role involves working collaboratively with staff, external agencies, and families to foster a nurturing and inclusive educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Identify, assess, and meet the support needs of students, collaborating with teachers, support workers, and external agencies.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues, parents/carers, and other professionals to support both academic and personal development of students.
  • Create and monitor SMART targets for attendance and punctuality.
  • Document student progress, behaviour, and attendance meticulously, using the college’s record-keeping systems to provide regular feedback.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students by adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a vigilant and caring environment.
  • Manage challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques and restorative practices.
  • Build positive relationships with students to support their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Plan and deliver tutorial programmes tailored to individual needs and support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Coordinate and lead extracurricular activities to enhance student engagement and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain a safe, nurturing educational environment.
  • Skilled in crisis management and student behaviour management.
  • Proficient in record-keeping and data management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
