Residential support worker - Cheadle - ASAP Are you looking for a full-time role as a support worker? Prospero is looking for a talented and committed support worker to assist within the residential care homes for children with learning disabilities. The care homes are part of a large SEN Organisation near Cheadle. The organisation comprises of a School, College and Residency and caters for children and young people with complex needs. The children require support within the residential care homes on site. You need to be able to build strong relationships with the children and young people. The ideal candidate: Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR/ experience of supporting those with complex needs in a care setting Those who obtain a qualification within Care/SEN Strong teamwork ethic Driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs Up to date safe guarding training issued in the last year (essential, training can be provided) Up to date FGM & prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, training can be provided) Recent behaviour management training (training can be provided) The role will consist of: Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN and complex needs Personal care Creating a safe environment Managing and diffusing challenging behaviour Position Details: LOCATION Cheadle POSITION Support Worker CONTRACT TYPE Temporary MINIMUM DAILY RATE GBP95 HOURS Full time Monday Sunday / 7:30-15:30 / 15:30 22:30 START DATE ASAP To be considered for this role, you will have to register with Prospero Teaching and complete a Child & Adult DBS which is on the update service, unless you already have one.
