We are looking for a Senior Residential Care Worker to join our dedicated team in providing outstanding care and support to children and young people in our residential homes in Cheadle and Salford.
Key Responsibilities:-
Act as a role model and lead by example, supporting junior staff members in delivering high-quality care.

Oversee daily operations within the home, ensuring all activities align with care plans and policies.

Provide mentorship and supervision to residential care workers.

Take responsibility for safeguarding and ensuring the well-being of young people.

Participate in care planning, risk assessments, and key working sessions.

Support children and young people with behavioural challenges and emotional difficulties.

Ensure all regulatory requirements (Ofsted standards, safeguarding policies, and health & safety regulations) are adhered to.

Work collaboratively with external agencies, including social services, education providers, and healthcare professionals.

Assist with staff training and development, ensuring the team remains compliant and up to date with best practices.

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) is essential.

Previous experience in a senior support role within a children's residential setting is highly desirable.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to handle challenging behaviour and work effectively under pressure.

Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation and child protection policies.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overnight stays as required.
