We are looking for a Senior Residential Care Worker to join our dedicated team in providing outstanding care and support to children and young people in our residential homes in Cheadle and Salford.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a role model and lead by example, supporting junior staff members in delivering high-quality care.

  • Oversee daily operations within the home, ensuring all activities align with care plans and policies.

  • Provide mentorship and supervision to residential care workers.

  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and ensuring the well-being of young people.

  • Participate in care planning, risk assessments, and key working sessions.

  • Support children and young people with behavioural challenges and emotional difficulties.

  • Ensure all regulatory requirements (Ofsted standards, safeguarding policies, and health & safety regulations) are adhered to.

  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, including social services, education providers, and healthcare professionals.

  • Assist with staff training and development, ensuring the team remains compliant and up to date with best practices.

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) is essential.

  • Previous experience in a senior support role within a children's residential setting is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to handle challenging behaviour and work effectively under pressure.

  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation and child protection policies.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overnight stays as required.
