Job Advert: Youth Workers Transitioning into Education Sector

Are you a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the education sector? We are seeking motivated individuals with transferable skills in youth work who are interested in supporting students in schools, colleges, and other educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Support: Work closely with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and tailored support to help them succeed academically and socially.
• Mentoring & Coaching: Provide mentorship to students, helping them develop life skills, improve their confidence, and navigate challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
• Collaborative Work: Support teaching staff in creating a positive learning environment, working alongside educators to address the needs of individual students.
• Behavioral & Emotional Support: Use your experience to help manage classroom behavior, assist in emotional well-being support, and implement strategies to promote positive relationships.
• Safeguarding & Well-being: Be a key point of contact for students, offering a safe space for them to express concerns, ensuring that their well-being is prioritized.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: You have a background in youth work, community support, or social care, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
• Transferable Skills: You are skilled in building relationships, offering guidance, resolving conflict, and providing emotional support – all of which are essential in the education environment.
• Commitment: You have a genuine interest in education and youth development, and a desire to help young people overcome obstacles to reach their full potential.
• Adaptability: You’re able to adjust your approach to meet the diverse needs of students, collaborating with staff in dynamic educational settings.
• Relevant Qualifications: While not essential, a qualification in youth work, social care, education, or a related field would be an advantage. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who are passionate about transitioning into education.
