About the service
A brilliant opportunity has become available for a dedicated care team leader to join Xealthcare’s care providers wonderful, supported living service located in Old Trafford, Manchester. Our client is offering a permanent, full-time contract to cover day shifts.
The small and friendly service provides support and care to male and female service users aged 18 and above, living with mental health and/or associated learning disabilities. Following their recent CQC inspection the residential care home has been rated ‘GOOD’.
This role would also be ideal for a strong senior care assistant or senior support worker, who is eager and ready to take a step up into a care team leader position.
Position: Care Team Leader
As a care Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of support workers to ensure the provision of high-quality care and assistance to the service users residents. In addition to the responsibilities of a care team leader, you will oversee the daily operations of the support workers, and act as a point of contact for the service users and their families. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and make a positive impact on the well-being of our clients' residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and supervising a team of support workers.
- Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
- Supporting service users with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, mobility and budgeting.
- Monitoring and recording service users vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to services users.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for the service users.
- Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
Requirements:
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care required, candidates who are working towards this are also encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is preferred.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
