As HDR Team Leader, you will oversee and support your team to follow the firm’s policies, achieve goals, and drive departmental success. You’ll set clear expectations, foster a positive environment, and facilitate teamwork and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Guide, motivate, and manage the team to meet goals, adapt to change, and maintain high standards in client service.
  • Resource Management: Prioritise and allocate workloads, ensuring efficient operation and business continuity.
  • Client Service: Monitor team performance, maintain service standards, and address complaints and issues following firm policy.
  • Development and Compliance: Ensure team adherence to legal standards and company procedures; engage in policy development.
  • Staff Development: Lead recruitment, training, and regular reviews to foster growth and address performance needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, other departments, and external partners to resolve challenges and optimise processes.

Specific Duties

  • Performance Oversight: Manage your caseload, provide coaching, conduct audits, and facilitate team meetings to meet performance targets.
  • Manage Team Members: Approve leave, ensure coverage during absences, conduct return-to-work and probation reviews, and handle individual performance issues.
  • Departmental Growth: Collaborate with team leaders and managers to enhance efficiency, manage risks, share best practices, and support strategic planning.

Person Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in litigation, including at least 6 months in housing disrepair.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Proclaim.
