Manchester City Council is seeking a dedicated Housing Solutions Officer to join our team for a three-month period. This role is office-based and focuses on delivering high-quality support to service users, managing risks, and engaging with both statutory and voluntary support services to promote community integration and support for vulnerable residents.
Day-to-day of the role:- Establish and maintain relationships with service users to challenge and change existing patterns of behaviour.
- Work proactively with stakeholders to assess individual needs and ensure positive outcomes.
- Provide support and advice to service users, facilitating engagement with local and national services.
- Monitor, evaluate, and review assessments regularly to make necessary adjustments, ensuring service users can achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop plans that consider individual needs and reduce vulnerability.
- Promote the service's strategies within the organisation and to external statutory and voluntary agencies.
- Participate in and contribute to new initiatives aimed at supporting independence and creating opportunities for vulnerable residents of Manchester.
- Maintain accurate records and systems to support data collection and performance management.
- Experience in a similar role within housing or social services.
- Strong understanding of the needs of vulnerable populations and the services available to them.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proficient in data management and performance monitoring.
- Commitment to promoting independence and social inclusion.
- The position is fully Office based
- You will need a Valid Enhanced DBS for this position
