NonStop is partnering with a local authority in Greater Manchester to find experienced and dedicated Social Work Practitioners for their Cared for Children service. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Complex Caseloads: Handle a diverse range of complex cases, providing expert guidance and advice to fellow social workers.
  • Mentorship and Supervision: Support and mentor less experienced colleagues, including the supervision of students, trainees, and support staff.
  • Case Planning and Review: Lead the planning and review of cases, collaborating closely with service users, their families, and carers to deliver high-quality care and promote independence.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal and external agencies to gather essential information for effective care planning and assessment.
  • Maintain Case Records: Keep case records up to date, ensuring adherence to high ethical and quality standards.
  • Report Writing and Court Presentation: Produce clear, high-quality reports and present evidence in court as required for care proceedings.
  • Evaluate Practices: Use initiative to handle complex situations, continuously evaluating and improving your own and others' practices to enhance service outcomes.
  • Duty Coverage: Respond to duty matters on a rota basis to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
