We are looking for a SEND Service Manager to join a Greater Manchester based local authority.

Responsibilities:

  • The SEND Service Manager will be responsible for the Local Authorities internal SEND services and support the commissioning and quality assurance of external provision to meet the needs of this cohort of children and their families.
  • The post holder will act as an expert advisor to Children’s Service’s Assistant Directors in support of statutory compliance around SEND.
  • The role will oversee the operational delivery of the Education Health and Care Planning Team (EHCP).
  • The post holder will lead the strategic direction of the team in partnership with a range of stakeholders.
  • The SEND Service Manager will ensure statutory compliance around the councils’ key SEND functions and manage internal resources to best meet the needs of children with SEND.
