Role: Accommodation Support Worker (Homelessness)
Contract - £18.37 per hour umbrella
Full-tiime - 35 hours per week
Working arrangements - Hybrid working
Start date: ASAP
The candidate will be joining the Afghan resettlement scheme.
We need someone who is able to visit families in their own homes or the apartments where they are temporary staying. A car driver is essential because they will be traveling across Manchester.
The families will need support with setting up utility bills, maintaining payments, council tax etc. Support with Universal credit and regularly checking their UC journal. Applying for School places, and a GP.
Their rent account must also be checked regularly to ensure it is in payment.
A good knowledge of safeguarding is essential in the role.
The candidate will be supporting people who are new to the UK and from different cultural backgrounds.
