As a Locum Adults Social Worker, you will be responsible for:?? Undertaking Section 42 Enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014?? Working within the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) framework?? Supporting adults at risk of abuse, neglect, and exploitation?? Liaising with multi-agency partners including NHS, police, housing, and voluntary services?? Managing a complex caseload and responding to urgent safeguarding concerns?? Contributing to strategy meetings, risk assessments, and case conferences?? Providing person-centred and strengths-based interventions
What Manchester are looking for:
To be successful in this role, you will need:?? A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree / DipSW / CQSW)?? SWE registration?? Experience in adult safeguarding, including Section 42 Enquiries?? Knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and best practice?? Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, prioritising and managing cases effectively?? Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills?? A commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and choice for vulnerable adults
