We have a fantastic Locum Social Work opportunity based within a Community Mental Health Team in the Tameside, Greater Manchester area.

1 x full time post- 36 hours per week & 1 part time post - 21 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Children about to turn 18 and transition into Adult Mental Health services
  • Work collaboratively across a range of disciplines to continuously promote a 'needs based' approach to all service users.
  • You will contribute to the delivery of mental health services and provide a casework service in collaboration with service users and CMHT colleagues.
  • You will practice in accordance with CPA and recovery model of care, managing a caseload including assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating care, negotiating for and coordinating the application of resources and seeking modification of attitudes or behaviour when required.

To be considered for the Social Worker role:

  • 1-3 years experience of working within a similar mental health/adult social work setting
  • Diploma/Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Evidence of working with a complex caseload
