Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Manchester City Council's Duty and Assessment Team. This is a full time role, with a fantastic pay rate of £37 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work on a team with 1 Team manager, 2 Advanced practitioners and 4 social workers of varying experience.
  • You will be on duty week once every 5 weeks and in between duty weeks will be completing assessments of children to assess the risk for them and determine their level of need.
  • You will be expected to visit children regularly and be confident in engaging children to understand what life looks like for them.
  • Be able to co-ordinate and chair CIN meetings and strategy meetings in a timely manner and ensure we have a working plan for the child to reduce risk and access early support for children and families.
  • You will be expected to adhere to timescales for children which includes seeing children in timescales and also completing assessments in timescales.
  • You will be on a supportive team and whilst the area has high demand caseloads on duty do not exceed 25.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registered
  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS
