- Oversee the day-to-day management of the children’s service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and national standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring best practice in the care and safeguarding of children and young people.
- Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all inspections, audits, and reporting are carried out in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed and maintain the highest standards of safeguarding.
- Monitor and review service quality, making improvements where necessary to ensure positive outcomes for children.
- Lead and manage the development of individual care plans, supporting the well-being and progress of the children in our care.
- Work closely with local authorities, social workers, and external partners to ensure the best support for children and young people.
- Provide reports on service performance to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Responsible Individual within children’s services or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and the children’s social care sector.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with staff, children, families, and external partners.
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of children and young people.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring compliance and service delivery to the highest standard.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience in working with children with complex needs and/or emotional/behavioral difficulties.
