FRONTEND ENGINEER

Our client is a Financial Services organisation with the aim of transforming the finance experience with simplicity and integrity. They are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join their team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be part of an autonomous team working in an energising and inspiring environment, focused on solving customer problems and delivering a world-class customer journey.
What you'll do:
As a Frontend Engineer, you will be joining one of our squads focused on customers. Our stack is React based following a component based styleguide driven way of working. You will have the opportunity to work on large frontend systems, understanding the design concerns including micro frontends, componentisation and styleguide driven development.
* Work on all aspects of the product from ideation through to deployment and maintenance* Follow a build, measure and learn approach to get quick feedback and deliver valuable increments* Work on providing high converting personalised and seamless experiences for customers * Implement design patterns and SOLID principles* Collaborate with other team members using programming techniques such as pairing or mobbing* Monitor and improve performance of conversion-based frontend role* Support with API development using .NET
What you bring:
As a Frontend Engineer, you bring technical experience as software developer or related role. You have a passion for delivering great experiences to customers with a relentless focus on improving key metrics of the software. You are an entrepreneurial self-starter who is always looking for a better way. Your knowledge extends to backend technologies such as C#.
* Degree in Computer Science or related field or vocational equivalent* Strong JavaScript and React skills coupled with knowledge of architecting CSS* Experience working on large frontend systems* Understanding of good quality code, including how to implement design patterns and SOLID principles* Knowledge of A/B testing and associated tooling, Optimizely experience would be a plus* Hands on experience with alerting and monitoring platforms such as Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana stack, Grafana, CloudWatch* .NET Development experience we see the role as a 80/20 split.
