Senior Java Developer | Manchester | Up to £90,000

As a Senior Java Engineer/Developer you'll play a key role in architecting and building a robust Java-based platform, driving new features, and ensuring the company stays ahead of the curve in a fast-paced, evolving industry.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development of backend solutions, work closely with cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless delivery of high-quality, scalable features. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead platform engineering for Java-based backend, driving innovation and scalability.
  • Expand and maintain infrastructure-as-code, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Contribute to frontend development and architecture decisions, shaping the overall technical direction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – developers, designers, and stakeholders – to ensure timely and successful project outcomes.
  • Own the full lifecycle of feature development, from design to deployment and beyond.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, bringing fresh ideas and trends into our processes.
  • Embrace DevOps principles, engaging in daily operational needs and ensuring smooth system performance for end users.

What We’re Looking For:

  • British citizenship or indefinite rights, ILR to work in the UK are required.
  • Proven experience in leading development projects, guiding timelines, deliverables, and cross-team collaboration.
  • 5+ years of Java experience, particularly with Spring Boot (preferably version 5+).
  • Proficiency with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • Strong analytical, programming, and problem-solving skills.
