About the Role:
You will work on a 1:1 basis with students who have complex needs, including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) difficulties, and other SEN requirements. Your role will be pivotal in helping students thrive academically and socially, ensuring they feel supported and included in their education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with SEN on a 1:1 basis within the SEN Unit.
* Help implement learning strategies and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
* Support students' social and emotional development, fostering a positive learning environment.
* Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching staff, and parents to ensure consistent support for the student.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with students with SEN (particularly autism, SEMH, and complex needs).
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
* Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one for an immediate start).
