Behaviour Mentor - North Manchester

We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a Secondary School in North Manchester to support pupils with SEMH/SEND needs. The role involves effective communication and assisting pupils, including those with autism. This role will be on a long-term basis with the potential to progress into a permanent position with the school!

Duties:

- Educate and support students in the classroom- Help de-escalate and manage challenging behaviour- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues- Work closely with children, including those with autism, to facilitate their progress- Collaborate with the team to create a nurturing environment for all children

Requirements;

- Experience working with children, in a school or similar setting- Minimum 2 references to cover your last 2 years of employment- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately- Understanding of supporting individuals with autism and additional needs- Have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
