Key Responsibilities
* Student Support: Work with secondary school students with complex needs, tailoring support to their individual requirements.
* Curriculum Knowledge: Provide academic support in line with the UK curriculum, particularly in Maths, English, or Science (A-level qualification in at least one subject is required).
* Personal Care: Assist students with personal care needs, promoting dignity and independence.
* Medication Support: Administer medication as required, adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed to support their development.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in Schools: Previous experience working with SEN students in UK schools is essential.
* Curriculum Understanding: Strong grasp of the secondary school curriculum, particularly in core subjects.
* Qualifications: A-level in Maths, English, or Science (minimum requirement).
* Personal Care and Medication: Experience supporting students with personal care and administering medication in a school setting.
* DBS on the Update Service: Must hold a valid DBS registered on the update service and be available to start immediately.
* Compassion and Resilience: A caring, patient approach with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
