Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with complex needs? Do you have a solid understanding of the UK secondary curriculum and the skills to provide both academic and personal care support? If so, we want to hear from you!

Aspire People are in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a long-term role starting immediately, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Student Support: Work with secondary school students with complex needs, tailoring support to their individual requirements.
* Curriculum Knowledge: Provide academic support in line with the UK curriculum, particularly in Maths, English, or Science (A-level qualification in at least one subject is required).
* Personal Care: Assist students with personal care needs, promoting dignity and independence.
* Medication Support: Administer medication as required, adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed to support their development.

What We're Looking For
* Experience in Schools: Previous experience working with SEN students in UK schools is essential.
* Curriculum Understanding: Strong grasp of the secondary school curriculum, particularly in core subjects.
* Qualifications: A-level in Maths, English, or Science (minimum requirement).
* Personal Care and Medication: Experience supporting students with personal care and administering medication in a school setting.
* DBS on the Update Service: Must hold a valid DBS registered on the update service and be available to start immediately.
* Compassion and Resilience: A caring, patient approach with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
