Are you a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners? We're looking for an experienced SEN EYFS-KS1 Teaching Assistant to join the team at a welcoming primary school in Longsight. This role is temporary but has the potential to be extended based on performance.

You will be working within a specialized SEN unit, supporting a diverse, mixed-ability class of children from Nursery to Year 1. The students have a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and sensory processing needs. Your role will be essential in fostering an inclusive environment that helps each child reach their full potential.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN across EYFS and KS1
  • Adapt activities to meet the sensory and behavioral needs of each child
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO to develop individualized learning plans
  • Promote social, emotional, and academic development in a supportive, engaging way
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular updates to the SEN team and parents
