Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant - Moston, Manchester.

Educate GM’s partner school in Moston, Manchester is looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their flourishing school.

The role is full-time, commencing ASAP. This great opportunity will pay £85-£90 a day, depending on experience.

You will be joining a successful school within Moston, Manchester, where children blossom. The school has a friendly atmosphere where staff members have a genuine passion for helping children to learn and develop by working as part of a team. The school encourages staff development and there are opportunities to grow your skills as a Teaching Assistant.

The Head Teacher is looking for someone with exceptional work ethic and great communication skills. The perfect candidate will be flexible, have the ability to use their own initiative when preparing activities, and work autonomously for group interventions. You will be required to support the class teacher in daily classroom tasks and the role may include supporting children with SEN, so patience and compassion are necessary.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Level 1 - Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience in teaching in KS1/KS2.
  • Experience in delivering interventions is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Patience, compassion & understanding.
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for helping children excel.
  • Great behaviour management.
  • A genuine passion to support each child to reach their goals.

All candidates must have:

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • 2 professional references
