We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and care to our young learners.

A successful school within Trafford, Manchester, where children excel. The school makes it a main priority to get the best out of each child’s day. You will help childrenblossom, while working as part of a team. The school encourages staff development and there are always opportunities to grow your skills as a teaching assistant.

Educate GM and the Trafford school are looking for someone with a caring nature, someone who is productive and has great communication skills. The perfect candidate will have a genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential. You will also be required to support the class teacher in daily classroom tasks and the role may include supporting children with SEN, so patience and compassion are necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students with their social and emotional development.
  • Prepare and organise classroom resources and materials.
  • Supervise students during break times and school activities.
  • Assist with the assessment and recording of students' progress.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Level 1 - Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • 2 professional references
