Reeson Education is working with a specialist setting in the M31 area of Trafford to find a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the chance to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.

The pupils, aged between KS2 and KS4, work at varying ability levels and benefit from a more tailored learning environment. Your learning support assistant role will involve providing dedicated support to ensure they thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities for the Learning Support Assistant:

  • Supporting SEN and SEMH pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
  • Assisting in delivering a curriculum tailored to the individual needs of students
  • Helping to foster positive relationships and promote social and emotional development
  • Encouraging independence and supporting the well-being of each child
  • Adapting learning strategies to meet diverse needs

Requirements for the Learning Support Assistant:

  • Driving licence and access to a car are essential
  • Passion for working with young people with SEN and SEMH needs
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach to working with students
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to adapt to different learning environments and challenges
