The school is dedicated to helping students develop both academically and emotionally, with a focus on promoting positive behaviours and supporting their individual learning needs.Responsibilities:* Support students with SEND, including those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and challenging and explosive behaviours.* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students, ensuring they are engaged, supported, and progressing in their learning.* Apply a holistic approach to supporting students, taking into account their individual needs and emotional well-being alongside their academic progress.* Assist with implementing behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive and safe learning environment, especially for students with challenging and explosive behaviours.* Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and deliver personalised learning plans.* Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies to meet individual needs.Requirements:* Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant, preferably within a SEND or PRU setting.* Experience supporting children with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and challenging and explosive behaviours.* A valid DBS on the Update Service, or the ability to obtain one immediately.* A holistic approach to supporting students, focusing on their emotional, social, and academic development.* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.* Passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential and succeed in a PRU setting.If you have the relevant experience and a commitment to supporting young people with complex needs, we want to hear from you!
