Job description

EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

Milk Education are working with a primary school in Irlam who are seeking a full-time EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in EYFS SEN setting. This role is starting in as soon as possible and will be a temporary, long-term role.

The School are looking for someone who is caring, patient, nurturing and accommodating to all children’s needs. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This EYFS Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting the class teacher in the day to day set up and running of the EYFS classroom, ensuring all children are kept on task and learning to their full potential. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for every child.

Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level- Non-negotiables:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must be reliable and punctual
