Prospero Teaching are working closely with a successful primary school in Manchester to recruit an experienced learning support assistant to work with children with SEN. This is a full-time LSA role to start in October.

The Learning Support Assistant will be working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and the role will involve supporting groups of children, at all ability levels, with learning activities. You will also deliver interventions to children with additional needs, particularly autism, on a personalised basis for individuals, and to groups of children with similar gaps in learning or with similar rates of progress.

You will need to have experience in a Learning Support Assistant role and to have good understanding of the curriculum and expectations for Key Stage 1 and 2. You must have knowledge and experience of delivering interventions programmes, how to support children with SEN, and have a compassionate, caring nature.

The Learning Support Assistant is required from September and is an ongoing role. Daily pay is in the range of £85 to £100 depending on experience.

Essential requirements for this LSA role:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant qualification and experience
  • Professional references covering the last two full years
  • Experience working in a UK Primary School
  • Experience as an LSA supporting children with additional needs, particularly autism
