Our school is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment, particularly for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are looking for a patient, resilient, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils who require additional support. Your Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. Assist in implementing individual learning plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. Create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Offer emotional and social support, helping children to build confidence and independence. What Were Looking For We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who has: A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or equivalent. Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to working with children. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Eligibility Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to apply for one). Provide two professional references related to childcare. Hold up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training is provided).
