Our school provides a nurturing and structured learning environment for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils who require additional support. Your Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. Assist in implementing individual learning plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Create a calm and structured learning environment tailored to each childs needs. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to support childrens progress. Offer emotional and social support, helping pupils build confidence and independence. What Were Looking For We are seeking a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant who has: A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or equivalent. Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or SEMH. A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to working with children. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff and parents. Eligibility Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to apply for one). Provide two professional references related to childcare.
