Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role in Ashton, Tameside?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely Primary School based in Ashton, Tameside starting as soon as possible. This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent. The position will be on a daily rate of £85 to £95 dependant on experience.

The School:

The Primary School is a for children aged between 2 to 11 years old and there are a couple of children with Autism, Multiple Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Complex Medical Needs.

The school is part of a 2 school federation within the borough providing outstanding education and learning environment that delivers inclusive learning to meet the needs of all pupils. The school is home to sensory rooms, soft play rooms, a large hall, studio for physical activities, outdoor play areas, sensory garden and a small hydrotherapy pool. The school is easily accessible by public transport with the closest tram being a 5 minute walk. Also, they provide parking onsite and in local areas.

The Position:

You will be supporting a KS1 class in Year 2. The needs of the students include Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties with minimum behavioural difficulties. You will be required to support various students within the class on a 1 - 1 basis aiding their development academically and socially. You will be working alongside the Class Teacher and experience Teaching Assistants. You will provide support in planning sessions and lead your own individually within the class.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

Have previous experience working within SEN

Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible

Legal right to work in the UK
