About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in this PRU, you will be working with students who require additional support due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. You will play a key role in supporting the teacher deliver a tailored curriculum that meets each student's individual needs, helping them to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis.
- Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment that encourages positive behaviour and academic progress.
- Work closely with a team of dedicated professionals, including teachers, to provide comprehensive support to each pupil.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
Requirements:
- Team-Teach trained.
- Previous experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Experience working in a PRU or with students with challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, resilient, and positive attitude.

- Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
