Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Clayton school. In this role, you'll provide 1:1 support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with behavioural challenges, ADHD, and autism. We seek someone dedicated to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support: Deliver tailored assistance to help children with SEN engage and progress in their learning.
- Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to foster a calm and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaboration: Work with the classroom teacher to adapt lessons for all students' needs.
- Supervision: Ensure safety and inclusion during outdoor activities and breaks.
- Monitoring: Track student progress and communicate with teachers and SENCO regularly.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow staff to provide a strong support network.
- Safeguarding: Follow all safeguarding policies to prioritize student welfare.
Position Details
- Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Type: Temporary, Full-Time
- Pay: £90+ per day
- Hours: 8:20 AM - 3:45 PM
- Contract End: July 2025 (possible extension)
Qualifications
- Education: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Background in a UK school or with SEN children required.
- Training: Recent safeguarding training is a plus; additional training will be provided.
Eligibility
